First 50: No More Heroes

I have been wanting to do one of these for a while but never got around to it

yes I have a wii now and I love it.

anyways I Just got no more heroes and love it.

If you do not know what a first 50 is it is a mini review of a game after playing it for only aproximatly 50 minutes and after that I decide if the game is a buy, rent, wait for the price to drop or a skip. This used to be a segment on G4s attack of the show.

In NMH you are travis touchdown from the city of Santa Destroy ,California and are given the task of eliminating the ten best assasins.

This game is very violent with blood spurting that quentin tarintino would be proud of .

Game play is done by attacking with the a button and poining the the remote up for high attacks and down for low attacks. The game gives you an optional tutorial at start . The game starts with travis arriving at hitman number ten Heavy Metals residence and taking out his gang kill bill style

anyways despite being a teeny bit repetitive I say this is a buy

Kingdom Hearts Review

Kingdom Hearts is a Action Rpg game featuring Final Fantasy characters and Disney characters. The story Starts out with Main Character Sora and his friends Riku and Kairi are taken from their home on Destiny Island. Sora awakens to Find himself alone in a place called Traverse town. He finds himself the wielder of a weapon called the Keyblade. He then meets Donald and Goofy who under the order of King Mickey, Must find the one with the Keyblade. They then. Take off in Donald and Goofy's Gummiship to find King Mickey and Riku and Kairi.

The game is pretty much a hach and slash with magic thrown in. You mainly use the x button to attack. Magic can be mapped to the x, square, and circle buttons and used when L1 is held down. Donald and Goofy are your wingmen. How Donald and Goofy attack and heal you and each other can be customized to your liking. Also Sora will fight alongside others like Peter Pan and the Beast. When and enemy is defeated Experience is eared;Sora Donald and Goofy can learn abilities by leveling up.

Overall this is a great game and if you have not played it yet You are missing out on a great game 8.5/10

Resident evil 4

It has Been A while since last post. Anyhoo I am still without a Wii. I got a gift card for best buy. I heard several retailers might have Wii's this sunday so I hope to get one.
I recently played Though resident evil 4. I thought it was great. I would have liked a multi-player version of The mercenaries. My favorite weapon is the handcannon.SPOILER
I would Have liked to see Leon and Ashely hook up at the end.I will have a review soon.

Why Sony might be in trouble in the game industry

1. Blueray. The question is will it take off or will it crash and burn like Sony's other failures Betamax Minicds and Umds. If Blueray does take off It might help spur sales of the ps3 as a cheaper alternative to theit $999 Blueray Player

2. Price. I have done A lot of scoureing of mesage boards and magazines. People do not want to pay $600 for the ps3 sure it has great games but games costing from $60 and up. They could buy a wii and several games for the price of the ps3. I am looking foward to some games on the ps3 like heavenly sword, resistance fall of man and 8 days but I am going to have to wait .

I think Nintendo will outsell sony this holiday.

review: God of War/ A look at God of War II

God of War is about a spartan warrior named Kratos. For 1o years he has been haunted by nightmares ever since he called out to Aries God of war to save him from certain death in the heat of battle. Kratos is not your typical hero he is more of an anti hero brutal and deadly many consider him a monster His nightmares are of his past of killing maiming and the death of his family. Kratos is asked by Athena to kill her brother Aries who lays waste to the city of Athens. In exstange the gods will forgive his brutal past. In order to do this Kratos must travel to the temple of Pandora with lays on the back of Cronos the titan who must wander the desert for eternity with the temble on his back. There he must make his way through the trials of the temple to retrieve Pandora's box the one Item that will allow a mortal to kill a god.

God of war is a hack and slash game with puzzle elements.
It is a very mature title with plenty of blood and gore with a little sex and nudity mixed in.

The story is pretty engaging a story of a wariors past
The action is on going and only stops for a little puzzle work
Kratos has several deadly moves in addition to powers given to him by the gods like Posidions Rage( a barrage of thundelightning) and Zues' fury( alows Kratos to throw a Flurry of lightning bolts).Kratos' main weapon is the blades of chaos (blades on chains). Kratos is able to dispatch his foes in a nuber of grusome ways Including button combo mini game ala Parapa the Rapper.

The game is fairly short. the game starts in the Agean sea where Kratos must distpatch the Hydra. The game then has Kratos Fighting throuh battle torn Athens until he reaches the desert and the Temple of Pandora( where the majority of the game takes place) and finaly back to athens to face Aries.

Bottom line this game is Exellent and is definently a must buy

Things I have learned from video games

I saw a shirt that said "Things I have learned from movies" which then listed a bunch of movie cliches such as the good guy never has to reload, during an investigation the heroes have to visit a strip club at least once and The cop has to be suspended before nabbing the bad guy. Well that got me thinking about What I have learned from video games

Bodies disappear after you kill them
driving over an arrow makes you go faster
drivers are always committing hit and runs
money appears when someone dies
you can take major fire before dying
a boss can take major fire and still live to fight you later
barrels explode when you shoot them
you can carry and easily swicth between multiple firearms
when you look down you realize you can't see your legs
you can restore health by simply eating everyday food
you never have to sleep or go to the bathroom
you can pick up items by just waling over them
you can find money under rocks , by chopping down bushes and grass and by smashing crates
you can survive any car crash
you never brake any bones by falling from a somewhat high ledge
a good percent of heroes suffer from amnesia
any level has exactly what you need to get you to the end
car are almost always unlocked and you never need to hotwire them
you can kill someone by shooting them in the feet legs hands and arms

True Crime NYC :Review

I believe that tc:NYC teaches a valuable lesson buckle up. If you hit someone head on in the game they will smash through the windshield if they are not wearing a seatbelt pretty Fucking awesome. By the way I believe this game is severely underrated the lowest scores I have seen are in the 4/10 range. The game has its faults but if you can get past them this is a great game . The redman gone wild minigame is really fun ( of coarse I used codebreakers and the debug cheat menu for an unlimited bloody rampage. Codebreakers is just $20 for ps2 as well as the game . If ya want to to use the debug cheat menu go to the map and hold down L1+R1 then release them and press right and L1+R1 again quickly and then pres left if you time it right you will open the debug menu where you can change most of the games effects). Overall I give the game a 8/10 would be higher if there was no glitches probably 9/10 The best part is the weapons system It is by far the best I have seen in a third person shooter. You can easily duel wild handguns and smgs And the environment is huge HUGE bigger than san andreas

Watching X-play's Adam Sessler Review battlefield 2 modern combat made me remember my biggest gaming petpeave( It has been a while since I played any online shooters) People who get in A vehicle and don't wait for anyone to get in ie Battlefield 2 Bf 1942. I HATE these people PLEASE STOP THIS! Or else I will shoot you I will blow up your vehicle even if you are on my team. Also I hate Campers and people who shoot their own teamates on purpose.STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT.

I just got true crime new york city So far it is pretty good I just wish there was more motorcycles in it. It is pretty easy to get past the faults the collision detection mainly I say you should at least rent this game.

6-11-06 Final Fantasy

I finaly broke down and started a blog. I am a huge game fan I usually play from 1-3 hours a day sometimes more. I am probaly going to get a Nintendo Wii. I might later get a ps3 and or an xbox 360 Well anyways I have not played a game since friday. I need to play some Grand Theft auto san Andreas. I recently finished Final Fantasy X-2 after 11 hours of play 3 days. The first one left me sad Why did tidas have to dissapear Just when yuna says She loves him. Then there is a chance for him to still be alive . then It turns out that it is not him at all that his name is shuyin and he has an Anakin skywalker thing going with 1,000 year rage and dispair. I thought the battle system in the game was pretty cool It was very fast paced
